銜接汽車外觀設計之造形課程單元發展與學習成效評估

本研究針對汽車外觀進行設計教學,進行工業設計造形訓練課程的發展與調整,包含單元修正、實踐、量化驗證與三項指標(理解程度、信心程度、對於產品主軸設計課的助益)之自評,主要在比例、輪廓、量體的基礎外,加強有關曲面訓練的單元。修正後的設計可分為兩個模組,未涉及曲面建構之基礎模組又包含兩個單元,而曲面模組則有三個單元,採取重複量測數變異數分析,在各模組內,分析單元間的學習自評趨勢,釐清課程單元對學習造形層次的效益。結果顯示,相較於以往輪廓學習的成效不彰,基礎模組中新增設的單元能提供學生相對穩定的學習體驗與自信;曲面模組中的新單元亦然。在銜接汽車外觀設計的願景下,除了得知量體與曲面層次和學習汽車設計的關聯,本研究也發現輪廓層次應受到重視,給予了教師在未來的教學中,持續探索、修正與驗證必要性的相關啟示。

Unit Plans and Learning Assessments of Form Generation Course for Connecting Automotive Exterior Design

This study aims to develop and adjust the form generation course in the department of industrial design for connecting subsequent automotive exterior design training. According to the published research results, the course units were revised, practiced and quantitative analyzed; the main revision direction is to strengthen and extend the curved-surface-related unit under the basic training of proportion, contour, and volume. After revising the new version of the course tutorials, students were guided to complete assignments and self-assessment of the learning experience of the assignments. The self-assessment includes three types of questions: students’ understanding, confidence, and effectiveness on product design core courses. The revised course units were divided into two modules. The basic module (without curved surface) contained two units, whereas the curved-surface-related module has three units. The study mainly adopted the repeated measure ANOVA to analyze the data. Within each module, the trend of self-assessment of learning experience among units was analyzed to clarify the effectiveness of course units on learning form factors, so as to verify the effectiveness of course revision. The results showed that the new course unit in the basic module could provide students with a more stable learning experience and confidence, which was not as effective as the previous low-efficiency learning of “con-tour”; while the new course unit in the curved-surface-related module could improve the overall learning experience. In particular, it enabled students to obtain a better effectiveness on learning curved surfaces. Under the vision of connecting automotive exterior design, it is also discovered that at this stage “contour” also needs to be paid attention to, and not just “volume” or “curved surface” explored from previous research. It is hoped that these findings will continue to lead to exploration, revision and verification in future teaching.
